MESS

A messy night in Ballarat with gorgeous girls! I am unashamed to say that we choose to go to the most feral westy-filled club basement, because frankly you can dance like a dickhead and no one cares. I'm off to Bali on Tuesday, for 10 days of el cheapo massages, facials and leather tailoring. See you when I get back! Oh, and in these photos- I am wearing a Supre oversized minidress. Who knew that Supre could stock something that is actually worthy of wearing out? Hoorayyyy

AMETHYSTOS

One of my best mates Gianna took the shots for this stunning new line by Drawn & Quartered. You can see the preview here and other awesome pieces at their facebook page. All pieces are handmade and of high quality metals. I have my heart set on a solid sterling silver nameplate (see the facebook page for details) and will hopefully be purchasing my very own, very soon.

Oh Burberry.

In January when I land in England I am going to have a large amount of money to spend on expensive clothes, due to saving, money owed to me, lovely boyfriend etc. I have decided, at this current moment, I am in love with Burberry coats and will thus be heading straight to Covent Garden to buy these two babies. The ultimate peacoat and parka. If they are sold out then, I will be truly shattered. I have also changed my idea of the perfect leather jacket- which means yet another leather-lust post coming soon.

Approve of these purchases?- Also, if anyone is aware of another brand that make a slim fitting coat as beautifully tailored as Burberry in a similar price range, let me know. I'm open to being coerced.

I'm Backkkkkkk

So my boyfriend has skipped the country and everything is back to normality- which means I am back to blogging! I have HEAPS coming up- moving to England in a few months means mega wardrobe curation, and I'm currently designing some leather goods to get made for myself whilst in Bali in a month. Exciting!! Life is going through a big change. Expect frequent blogging from here on in :)

After a mini hiatus..

I have recently become quite obsessed with Country Road cotton/silk blend scarves. I purchased the olive and plum and they just feel so light, soft, but warm at the same time. I am likely to end up with all of the colours- I am dying for the lime green. It will most likely be mine by the end of the weekend.

In other news, I know I have been a VERY shit blogger, but I now have an Englishman staying in my house that I intend on marrying, and in the meantime I've been trying to spend a significant amount of time with him. Having said that, I have big plans for blogging in the very near future and now have a photographer.

So a) I am still in existence
b) I apologise for my absence, particularly from your blogs
and c) lots of blog posts very soon!

I'm aware this post is doing weird shit with it's spacing. I have yoga/gym now, but will fix it later.

The Balenciaga jacket.

I know I'd decided on a collarless leather jacket, but after seeing this on Freja Beha I think my mind has been changed. The leather moto jacket by Balenciaga is pure perfection- what better than a made-to-fit version of this? I love the black hardware. I love the heavy yet soft, supple leather. I love the fitted sleeves, and pointed lapels. I love. This is now the style I will be getting made to fit in Bali. For some reason it looks bulkier on the mannequin- this jacket is lightly padded, I will get mine simply lined for a slimmer fit. Decision made.

In other news, I've decided to go back to my natural hair colour (a sort of auburn/light brown) and grow it long again. Does anyone know of any great colour removal products? I'm going for Colour b4  Hair Colour remover, it seems to get good reviews- I really want to avoid bleach as I am dying for my hair to be healthy. Jamie gets over here in a week, expect lots of outfit posts as I will have a photographer for 3 months!

The faux fur.

I am posting this photo from my old blog because it
a) shows the faux fur coat that I include as a basic in my wardrobe
b) shows that Litas, even though entirely overdone, still hold a place in my wardrobe, and
c) shows how cute my little cottage is.

Please ignore the fact that I couldn't get the flywire back on the window and that I'm striking a ridiculous pose.

I fucking love that coat, and I left it in England. (Bring it back to me please JME!) This is one of the items that I thought I would want to replace, but after looking everywhere for a better faux fur, I have realised how awesome it actually is.

In other news, here are a few excellent blogs to follow-

EDIT!!!

My boyfriend is a smartass, and after posting this blog he decided to tease me, by wearing my coat in England.

Sort of scary that it looks quite nice on him.

The essential bag list.

Bags
I really don't think I need more than this, ever. Have I missed anything?

-Black day bag
-Large shopper tote
-Coloured handbag (because it's essential, right? I also saw this Givenchy bag and almost died right there, so I had to include it)
-Wallet
-Leather backpack (I am convincing myself this is essential for day trips)
-Large clutch
-Embellished statement clutch for LBD nights.

I am totally not including travel bags in my essentials- I don't consider them wardrobe items. Anything I would put under a plane I'm not going to spend good money on.

I have completed my entire wardrobe list on Polyvore- however their coding is a bitch and it screws up my page, so I'm going to post them separately. I'll then make another page of this blog with the entire list on it, so I can start crossing off!

Merging two worlds.

On the weekend I met up with Bronny and Adele, two gorgeous bloggers from Melbourne. To me, it seems strange to merge my real life with the blogging world- and until meeting these two lovely ladies I've kept them entirely separate. We talked about the personality that bloggers can put across, through the aesthetic and language of their blogs- and I wondered if some bloggers intentionally create a persona that does not necessarily reflect their real life affect. Having started a second blog, I've found I have used different language which is perhaps more mature than in my previous. My intention with the blog was for it to be more mature in aesthetic, but my language has also reflected this more serious approach to my fashion endeavours.

Do you feel that your blogging personality differs from that of real life? Do any of you intentionally change your language or online personality in order to appeal to a different (or wider) audience? My audience has changed entirely, however that WAS my intention as I preferred more engaged and thoughtful comments rather than self-promoting "Oh I love your top" comments when my photo was actually of a dress. I feel I've been successful in that respect.

Thoughts?
